Did Disney Just Give Us a CLUE About the NEW ‘Avatar’ Attraction?

Disney just loves keeping us on our toes by making bold announcements — and then going radio silent.

Pandora: The World of Avatar

That’s exactly what happened back in February 2023 after CEO Bob Iger announced that an Avatar experience would be coming to Disneyland. That was pretty much all he said about it, but we later confirmed that the project was happening. And now, we think Disney may have just given us a clue about this new attraction!

The Disneyland Avatar project may be even closer than just being a “blue sky” idea — the franchise’s producer, Jon Landau, recently met with Walt Disney Imagineering about “the future” according to a post on his Instagram.

Of course, we can’t say for certain that Landau was meeting with Disney about the Avatar expansion, but since this project is the only major announcement they’ve made about the franchise recently, it’s possible that he is consulting on the new attraction.

Disney has yet to share many details about what a potential new Avatar experience would look like, but we do know that Disneyland Resort president Ken Potrock shared, “We’re going to share lots more details as they become available. By the way, as I become aware of what the heck we’re going to do. But stay tuned; it’s going to be really exciting. We’re thinking bold,”

Whether or not this experience will be anything like the one currently in Disney’s Animal Kingdom remains to be seen, but we’ll be keeping up with all the latest updates!
