Picture this: you just finished an AMAZING trip to Disney World, where you ate all kinds of delicious meals and sipped on great drinks. Now it’s time to head home, which means you’re off to the Orlando International Airport. You made it through security, verified your gate is where it’s supposed to be, and you’re ready to grab some food before your flight. Now what?

Well, if you find yourself in Terminal A or B, you may be out of luck. Why? The food options here are…well…not great. These days, the restaurants at Orlando Airport have some STIFF competition thanks to all the new dining spots at Terminal C, so those old Terminal B restaurants are a bit of a letdown. Let’s talk about it.
Say your plane is located somewhere between gates 30-59, and you’re looking for a place to eat post-security. Take a look at the dining options. Yep, that’s all you have to choose from. Sure, it could be worse, but there’s not even a Starbucks! What’s up with that, Orlando Airport?

Over in the section of the airport that is home to gates 1-29, the dining selection is only marginally better. You’ve got a Burger King, a Cold Stone Creamery, On the Border, and a Starbucks.

For comparison, Terminal C has many more exciting options. There’s a Wine Bar George (yes, really!), a restaurant called Sunshine Diner, with a menu created by Chef Art Smith (he also created the Homecomin’ menu), a Summer House Santa Monica restaurant, and more. See what we mean? How can you compare Burket King and Qdoba to Wine Bar George?!

If you aren’t lucky enough to have a flight out of Terminal C but still want a nice meal before your flight, we recommend getting food pre-security in Terminals A & B. Here, you can find Chick-fil-A, McDonald’s, Starbucks, Panda Express, Firehouse Subs, and more.

Next time you have a flight out of Terminals A or B, make sure to weigh all your food options ahead of time! Otherwise, you may be stuck eating a rather lame meal before your flight. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest travel news, so stay tuned for more.
