Staying at Disney’s Pop Century Resort and other value hotels at Disney World might be helpful for your wallet, but they definitely aren’t helpful when it comes to getting a good night’s sleep.

Are the walls thinner? Is there some pixie-dusted magical barrier in the moderate and deluxe resorts that makes the rooms soundproof? We don’t know what it is, but value resorts tend to be a bit more noisy. So, there’s one thing that we don’t visit the value resorts without!
Sound machines are our one true wish answered when it comes to getting some good rest at the value resorts. They’re soothing in general, but they also mask the sound of doors slamming, your neighbor’s TV, and the poor baby down the hall who is just as tired as you are.

There are a ton of great sound machines on Amazon, but here are a few of our favorites:
First up, we have the Reacher Auto-Dimmable Alarm Clock, which comes programmed with 20 soothing sounds.

It also features a night light!
