Disney, Why Did You Have To Do THAT To Goofy?

Sometimes we see things in Disney World that really make us question reality, this is one of those times.

Disney World is still helping celebrate the Disney100 Years of Wonder and has quite an extensive line of merch to prove it! We’ve been keeping up on all the latest releases with these collections but this latest addition really makes us want to ask “what is going on?”

On a recent trip out to visit EPCOT, we decided to check out all the latest in merch that’s hit the stores. One of our favorite places to stop in from time to time is Pin Traders by the front entrance of EPCOT and Spaceship Earth.

We went straight over to catch a glimpse of the latest pins and happened across something strange. Take a look at this Disney100 Eras Goofy pin. He’s meant to be pictured as he would have been in this “era” dated 1932.

Umm, Goofy…Are you good, bud? You’re looking a little rough around the edges here. This appears to be from the 1932 animated short called Mickey’s Revue, but we think he looks a lot better in the animated version here than on the pin.

We’ve seen a few of these Disney100 Eras pins in the past featuring Donald Duck and Daisy Duck but this one had us questioning if we really were seeing things.

In this scene, Goofy’s pictured in a black-and-white sketch holding a sack of peanuts. It’s also important to note that if you’re just as intrigued by this pin as we were, you’ll need to be a Disney World annual passholder to buy it since it’s a passholder exclusive pin. If you’d like to snag it as your own you can pick one up for $19.99 — it’s quite the conversation starter!
