Find Out When You Can Stream ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ at Home

Avatar: The Way of Water was long anticipated at the box office theaters and now it is getting ready to go digital!

We recently learned of when we can stream Avatar: The Way of Water on digital release and the date may be sooner than you thought!

Go ahead and set your calendars for March 28th, 2023 Avatar fans! Avatar: The Way of Water is finally going digital and we now know where you’ll be able to stream it!

Avatar: The Way Of Water is the second installment in the Avatar franchise. This movie follows the success of the original 2009 film which became the inspiration for Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The events of the second Avatar film, follow Jake Sulley,  Neyteri, and their young children as they protect their native Na’vi and their home. Their journey to guide impending threats away from their home heeds unintentional consequences for the tribes that agree to take them in. In the film, they must understand the importance of taking a stand for themselves while also respecting those that may see or do things differently than they do.

If you missed out on seeing this movie in theaters, digital streamers like VUDU, Prime Video, Apple TV, and Movies Anywhere will offer it starting March 28th in 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Atmos audio.

According to an article by Variety, the digital release on streaming platforms promises more than just the movie! Avatar 2 will be accompanied by more than three hours of additional bonus content, exploring the world of Pandora and the film’s production process, highlights that will include deep dives on performance capture technology used to capture the Na’vi culture and beings, the complex sound design, and more. Special bonus features will be brought to you by the Wētā FX visual effects team, returning cast members, and a few new characters including a featurette focusing on Spider — the human boy who wants so desperately to be Na’vi. It’s important to note that bonus features may vary across digital retailers.
