Today is a BIG day for Universal Studios.
Back in January, Universal announced that a new park was set to arrive in Texas in the future, and we’ve been keeping up with all the details since. This is why you need to know that today is a BIG day for this potential new park!
Today, Frisco City Council and the Planning & Zoning Commission will be voting on whether or not this new park can come to life. “Economic incentives for the project are also on the agenda,” according to the Dallas Business Journal.
While the desired site has already been mapped out, the council and zoning commission must vote on if they will approve a zoning permit for Universal to build their controversial new park.
Why controversial? Because many residents feel that this new park will bring too much traffic to the already-busy area, causing huge issues for local commuters. However, It would also provide many jobs for the area.
