Waiting in line can feel like a BIG waste of time and money when you’re at a Disney Park!

Fortunately, Disney sometimes utilizes a virtual queue system to cut down on all that waiting. And, now that Disneyland and Disney California Adventure have welcomed back several nighttime shows, there’s a way to avoid the massive crowds and get a better view of World of Color each night!
A virtual queue is now available for both World of Color showings at 9PM and 10:25PM! But, if you’re visiting for the show and hoping to take advantage of it, you’ll want to be as prepared as early as possible to ensure that you don’t miss out! Here’s how it works.

You’ll start by opening up the Disneyland App and searching “World of Color.” This will pull up a screen with additional information on showtimes and a button to join the virtual queue.

Note that you’ll need to be in either Disney California Adventure OR Disneyland by 12PM to access the virtual queue for that evening’s show.

Once you have your reservation, you will receive a notification in the Disneyland app instructing you to enter the “World of Color” viewing area through either the Blue or Yellow entrance approximately 45 minutes prior to showtime. Then it’s on with the show!
Keep in mind though that this is a popular option — the virtual queue was full for both showings on opening night by 7:20PM.

World of Color is a beautiful nighttime spectacular show featuring hundreds of colorful performing water fountains…

…with Disney music and animation! It’s truly a show you don’t want to miss if you’re visiting Disneyland Resort.

Other viewing areas are still available for the show, so you’ll still be able to watch if you aren’t able to get a spot in the virtual queue. Of course, we’ll be on the lookout for more Disney news and updates, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
