In October of 2020, the second season of The Mandalorian dropped on Disney+.
The show features stars including Pedro Pascal, Giancarlo Esposito, and Gina Carano. However, due to recent social media controversy, Gina Carano has been fired from the show.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a Lucasfilm spokesperson confirmed that Carano will no longer be a part of the show.
The spokesperson said, “Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future.” Referring to recent social media posts from the actor, the spokesperson said they “are abhorrent and unacceptable.”
