PHOTOS: All The Floats and Characters at Mardi Gras in Universal Orlando!

Mardi Gras is in full swing over at Universal Orlando and we’re taking you on all our adventures through the many eats, drinks, and entertainment!

We’ve given you a sneak peek at some of the treats and shared some of the specialty face masks in celebration, but now we’re live in the park! And, though things may look a little different for Mardi Gras this year, there are still tons of new and returning activities to keep the good times rolling.

So, between bites of specialty treats and snacks, here’s what you can check out around the park!

Parade Floats

In lieu of Universal’s Mardi Gras parade, the four floats are stationed along the streets as a photo op! The first float you’ll see on the street is the Miss New Orleans Riverboat float decked out in purple, yellow, and green! There are two characters that you can interact with who toss out bead necklaces if they think you’re deserving.

And, the Universal Krewe of Dionysus Float returns this year and is parked along your journey through the park. You might even spot a king on the float if you’re around at just the right time.

Two new floats that are pirate treasure-themed join the Mardi Gras celebrations! The first is the pirate’s home ship featuring all the skulls, jewelry, and coins that the pirates have collected on their journey to find treasure.

And the other pirate-themed float is home to all the treasure. You might even have the chance to meet a pirate or two!

Around each float, there are distancing dots so you and your party know where to stand to grab a picture. And, at 11AM these floats come to life with characters, and you just might be lucky enough to collect a treasure or two from them!

Character Meet & Greets

The massive floats aren’t the only place you’ll find characters! Scooby-Doo and the gang can be found in a new location solving mysteries. They are really inspecting every inch of that grassy area!

Homer is still out welcoming all the Mardi Gras visitors!

And, Marilyn Monroe may not have any back-up dancers, but she is still entertaining guests in front of the Registration building.

Some meet and greets are even themed for the celebrations! Like this one near the Germany food booth.

If you’re looking to enjoy some jazz music, you can check out the Mardi Gras band! They play as they walk through the streets and then put on a performance on stage!
