Disney World might be bringing back its Halloween entertainment and treats, but we’ve been spending out time at home binge-watching spooky movies on Disney+!

While movie theaters have started to r-open recently, there’s still a way you might be able to enjoy a flick with your best buddies from the comfort of your home!

Many of us have been wanting to connect with our family and friends during this time! While we’ve seen different modes like Netflix Party to have a virtual movie night with our best pals, Disney+ is getting in on the group streaming game!

Recently, Disney has been filing patents to create a multi-device watch party with the most recent details on August 4th and August 13th. In the description, there is no specified watch party name, but the service was described as, “A method for use by a first media player for synchronizing playout of a first media content with playout of a second media content by a second media player” where “the first media content and the second media content being a same media content.”

Basically, it sounds like Disney is building their own system for subscribers to be able to watch the shows and movies that are being rotated on the app or website. But, just like other platforms, guests will most likely need to subscribe to the service before being able to join a watch party.

However, there isn’t a firm release date about when the new feature could debut. While we’re not sure if this will be out by the time Mulan is released (or if subscribers will be able to even watch it together since it’s an additional fee), we will keep you updated on any further information!

As Disney releases more information about its possible watch party feature, we’ll have to keep you updated on when the option plans to go live. In the meantime, there are still plenty of great content online during your next Disney+ binge session!
