Disney Channel has renewed Big Hero 6 The Series for a third season in advance of the May 6 premiere of the series’ second season.
Season two of Big Hero 6 The Series debuts at 3:30 p.m. on May 6 on Disney Channel with same day availability on DisneyNOW.
Big Hero 6 The Series is based on the Academy Award-winning feature film, Big Hero 6. The Disney Channel series continues the adventures of Hiro, his robot Baymax, and Hiro’s friends Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Go Go, and Fred. This band of friends come together to make up the superhero team Big Hero 6.
In season two Hiro and the Big Hero 6 team will use their upgraded super suits to protect their city from a variety of innovative villains, bio-engineered monsters, and high-tech robots. Viewers will also follow Hiro in his normal life as he faces challenges and social trials as the new prodigy at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology.

The series voice cast includes Maya Rudolph as Aunt Cass, Ryan Potter as Hiro, Scott Adsit as Baymax, Jamie Chung as Go Go, Alan Tudyk as Alistair Krei, Khary Payton as Wasabi, Genesis Rodriguez as Honey Lemon, Brooks Wheelan as Fred, David Shaughnessy as Heathcliff and Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee as Fred’s dad. Returning this season are Emmy Award nominees Christy Carlson Romano and Andy Richter as Trina and Globby, respectively; Jenifer Lewis as Professor Granville; Haley Tju as Karmi; and Mara Wilson as Liv Amara.
In addition to the series, a trio of shorts, illustrated in a watercolor style and featuring Baymax and Mochi, will begin to roll out on Tuesday, May 7, across Disney Channel, DisneyNOW and Disney Channel YouTube.
