Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course will temporarily close this summer for some new enhancements and upgrades. We have all the details, so let’s get into it!

Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course will temporarily close for refurbishment from late spring to early fall. The golf course is a part of Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa near Disney Springs.

The greens will be fully renovated with newly reimagined contouring and elevations, as well as updates to the green-side bunker and chipping area to improve playability. There will also be upgraded irrigation systems and new drainage systems to reduce water retention and improve playing conditions after rain. We’ll also see enhancements to several teeing grounds!

When we looked at available tee times online, it’s clear that the course will be closed as of May 4th.

If you want to golf at Disney World while the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is closed, there are still three other golf courses on Disney property, all at the golf-themed hotel Shades of Green near Magic Kingdom. You don’t have to be a resort guest to golf there, just buy a ticket online and go!

Oak Trail Golf Course is a 9-hole, par-36 walking course with rolling greens and exciting challenges. Test your skills with holes ranging from 132 to 517 yards from the white tees; holes 5, 6, and 7 are routed around a deep canal and a picturesque pond. And with junior tees for younger golfers, it’s fun for the whole family!

Palm Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course with shimmering lakes, tropical sands, palm trees, and sloping greens. The course includes 9 holes with water hazards and 59 bunkers — providing plenty of challenges for novices and seasoned pros alike!

Lastly, Magnolia Golf Course is a championship course that’s the longest golf course at Walt Disney World. This course is a challenge — 11 of the 18 holes boast water hazards, and dozens of sand bunkers dot the landscape! And to keep the Disney magic up, each hole has a Disney-themed name borrowed from a classic Disney film.
