Okay, so when it comes to visiting Disney World, especially in the summer, it’s no secret that it gets hot and humid in Florida. We’re always on the lookout for new ways to stay cool in the parks so we can share them with you.

We’ve tried pretty much everything from handheld fans to cooling towels to water bottles to hydration packs. However, the weirdest thing we tried might just be a random find on Amazon, but it turns out…this thing isn’t quite as weird as we originally thought.
Meet the Fan Hat. It’s basically a wide-brimmed hat with fans inside of it. We know it looks ridiculous, but we decided to take it to the parks to test it out. It’s got solar-powered fans with breathable holes around the headpiece to keep your head cool while wearing it.

Solar-powered fans fit into holes on each side of the hat and can swivel to direct air flow directly to your face. Each fan also has a setting to have it operate via solar power or by being plugged in and charged.

When you’re ready, put the fans in the hat, put the hat on, swivel the fans onto your face, and use the adjustable chin strip to keep the hat in place. Here’s the thing…the fans actually work and really do make you feel cooler (temperature-wise, maybe not “cool” in a fashion sense).

We did have issues with using the fan hat in extreme heat. We had to keep turning the fan setting up higher just to keep them from circulating a lot of warm air. Of course, it feels even better when you step into an air-conditioned spot, and cooler air is circulating.
In the meantime, we’ll be keeping an eye out for the latest Disney deals, so make sure you stay tuned to AllEars for more!
