Florida Gov. DeSantis Appoints New Members to Disney World District Board

It’s been nearly three years since Florida Governor Ron DeSantis moved to dissolve Disney World’s Reedy Creek District and create a new board to govern the property Disney World sits on.

This board oversees the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, and it now serves as the governing jurisdiction and special taxing district for the land owned by Walt Disney World Resort. Now, DeSantis has appointed two new members to that board.

On January 12th, DeSantis announced the appointment of Matt Ravenscroft and David Woods to the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District. Before their appointments become official, though, they must be confirmed by the Florida Senate.
