Why Disney World Could Be MORE Crowded in 2026

Thanks to massive construction projects across Walt Disney World — including Piston Peak at the Magic Kingdom, Monsters, Inc. land at Hollywood Studios, and Tropical Americas at Hollywood Studios — many Disney fans were initially planning to skip Walt Disney World in 2026. However, Disney’s latest announcements may lead to the parks being even MORE crowded.

So what could be making guests change their minds about 2026? Well, there are some new additions that are sure to draw — we’ll get to them, don’t worry — but the biggest reason is discounts. Perhaps in response to visitor projections, Disney is offering an unprecedented number of discounts for 2026 trips RIGHT NOW.

Just look at some of the 2026 discounts Disney is currently offering:

In perhaps the biggest available discounts, Disney is offering guests two free room nights and theme park days when they purchase a select 4-night, 4-day (or longer) Walt Disney Travel Company room and ticket package, allowing you to “savor every moment, take time to relax at your resort, and enjoy your favorite rides,” according to Disney. This offer is available for visits most nights from May 26th through September 15th, with a booking window of January 6th through February 15th.

As mentioned above, these deals aren’t the ONLY things drawing guests. This year will see the openings (and re-openings) of several experiences, including:

All of that being said, the extra crowds drawn in by these discounts and new experiences may cause some operational issues. As we stated at the top, three of the resort’s four parks are in the midst of massive construction projects, the results of which lead to diminished amounts of available rides and attractions to entertain guests, and mazes of construction walls and detours.

Despite this rash of construction projects, Disney’s discounts may make 2026 busier than ever at Walt Disney World. Stay tuned to AllEars for more on the resort’s 2026 offers.
