“If I Have to Actually Stand in Line? Not a Single One.” — Disney Fans Share the Rides They’d Wait Over an HOUR For

If there is one thing Disney fans are very clear about, it is how they feel about waiting in line.

Space Mountain line

Long waits can either feel totally worth it or like a hard no, depending on the ride, the day, and, honestly, the mood. So we decided to put it to the test. Over on Facebook, we asked how you felt about it all, and wow, the answers covered the entire emotional spectrum, from absolute must-dos to not a chance. Some people had their list locked and loaded. Others were very firm that an hour-plus wait is simply not happening. Let’s jump into some of the top responses and see what rides are truly worth the wait, and which fans are happily skipping.

We reached out to our followers on Facebook and Instagram to ask: “Which Disney rides are you willing to wait an hour or longer for?” We had quite a few people leave their opinions in the comments!

What do you think?

Now, let’s go over some of your top responses!

Guardians

Mike T. didn’t hesitate. He shared,

“Guardians, 100%. This is the only right answer.”

End of the line for Cosmic Rewind

Honestly, this checks out. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has quickly become one of the most talked-about rides in Disney World. Between the backwards launch, the rotating ride vehicles, and the random song selection, every ride feels just a little bit different. For a lot of fans, this one still feels special enough to justify a long wait, especially if it is a rare visit.

It depends on the trip

Rebecca took a much more strategic approach, saying,

“We live so far away and only get there so often, it’s gonna depend on priorities. I’m gonna watch those wait times and see if they drop, but I’m not gonna skip a ride I really want to do just because it’ll eat up time.”

The line

This feels really relatable. When trips are few and far between, sometimes you accept the long line because you do not know when you will be back. Watching the app, timing it right, and making peace with the wait can all be part of the game.

Thrills are worth it

Jason brought the thrill rides into the conversation with,

“Tron, Space Mountain for the chance to ride with the lights on again. That was cool, Tower of Terror.”

TRON Lightcycle / Run lnie

This list makes sense for fans who love that adrenaline rush. TRON Lightcycle / Run still feels futuristic and fast. Space Mountain with the lights on is a rare experience that totally changes the ride. Tower of Terror remains a classic that hits every time, no matter how many times you have ridden it.

A strong top three

Joanie summed up her picks simply, sharing,

“Guardians, slinky dog and maybe flight of passage.”

Slinky Dog Dash Line

These three consistently show up in conversations about long waits. Slinky Dog Dash is family-friendly but still fun. Flight of Passage remains one of the most immersive rides Disney has ever built. And Guardians keeps popping up again and again for a reason.

Absolutely not

Then we get to the responses that cut straight to the point. Carrie said,

“If I have to actually stand in line? Not a single one.”

Look at the line for the ride!

This energy is powerful. For some fans, standing in a long physical line is the dealbreaker, no matter how good the ride is. And honestly, on a hot, crowded day, that opinion makes a lot of sense.

It depends

Mike M. shared a thoughtful take, saying,

“With good company…. Most any. Solo trip, none.”

Haunted Mansion line

This really hits on how much the people you are with can change the experience. Waiting an hour feels very different when you are chatting, laughing, and people-watching with friends versus standing alone and staring at the wait time clock.

Annual passholder perspective

Michael brought in the annual pass mindset, sharing,

“None…. We have annual passes, we will go all day and ride 3 rides 🤣.”

Look at that line!

For passholders, there is often zero pressure to do everything in one visit. If the line is long, it is easy to say no and try again another day.

Looking back

Heather added some great perspective, saying,

“None… I’ll move on and come back later. Although, when I was little, I KNOW we waited over an hour for Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Living with the Land, Figment (the original), and Tomorrowland Speedway (yep – you read that right! In the 80s, Speedway had a serious line friends!)”

The Jungle Cruise line

It’s wild to think about how wait times and priorities have shifted over the years. What once felt normal now feels impossible to imagine.

Pirates of the Caribbean line

At the end of the day, there is no right or wrong answer here. Whether you are team Guardians-or-bust or team absolutely not, it all comes down to how you like to experience the parks. And honestly, that is what makes these conversations so fun. Now we want to hear even more from you! In the meantime, stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney news!
