Heading to Universal Orlando in 2026? We might have a way for you to save money on tickets!

If you’re visiting the theme parks for multiple days, purchasing a Universal Orlando Annual Pass might be the way to go to get your park admission for less. So today, we’ve done the math to see when the cost is worth it!
When You SHOULD Buy an Annual Pass
Firstly, you should probably consider an Annual Pass if you take multiple multi-day visits to Universal Orlando (namely Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure) per year. The cheapest Annual Pass option is the Seasonal Pass for $425, followed by the Power Pass for $475. Each of those comes with blockout dates, but if you’re not traveling during the busiest times of the year, you can make up the cost quickly.

The cheapest one-day tickets to get into Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure are $124 per adult, per day. To break even on the Seasonal Pass or the Power Pass, you’d only need to visit for four days. For $630, you can get the Preferred Pass, which would require 6 visits to break even, and to break even on the $905 Premier Pass, you’d need to visit 8 times.

You may also want to consider the value of the perks that come with the Annual Pass tiers. All four passes include Park-to-Park Admission, so if you were planning on purchasing Park-to-Park tickets, it will take fewer visits to get your money’s worth. The Premier Pass also comes with complimentary Universal Express after 4PM, which can be a huge benefit on busy evenings.

The Preferred and Premier Passes get free self-parking after your first visit, and the Power Pass gets 50% off. The Premier Passes also get one free admission to Halloween Horror Nights. That’s a lot of perks!
When You Should NOT Buy an Annual Pass
First, you should NOT buy an Annual Pass if you’re going to Epic Universe. The newest park isn’t currently included in Universal Orlando Annual Passes, so purchasing one will not get you entrance to visit.

You should also not buy an Annual Pass if you’re only traveling for a day or two. The cheapest Annual Pass is $425, and it’s blocked out on the most expensive days of the year, so you won’t get your money’s worth.

Finally, you may also not want to purchase an Annual Pass if there are any really good multi-day ticket deals going on. Universal often offers these during less busy times of the year, even including some BOGO offerings. When those come available, it’s a good idea to price your ticket budget again to see if the Annual Pass is a better deal in that case specifically.

We’ll make sure to keep you in the loop with any Universal Orlando ticket deals, Annual Pass news, or budgeting tips for your trip.
