If you’re looking for a way to make your Disney World trip a little easier, we may have a solution!

A few months back, Disney introduced a luggage transfer program with Southwest Airlines, where you could drop your bags off at your hotel and then pick them up when you arrived at your home airport. Now, they’re getting ready to offer the same thing for the START of your vacation!
Starting on November 18th, guests arriving on domestic Southwest Airlines flights at Orlando International Airport (MCO) who are staying at select Disney Resort hotels will have the option to skip baggage claim and get their luggage delivered to their hotel!

To facilitate this process, you’ll need to check your luggage at the Southwest bag drop area or ticket counter for direct delivery to your resort. The service is provided by the third-party company BagCheck, which will deliver your luggage to the resort within approximately four hours of arrival.

Guests of Walt Disney World Resorts will begin receiving an email about the new service this week, explaining the points we mentioned above and providing a link for registration. The registration window for using this service opens 30 days prior to departure and closes 5 days prior to departure.

Note that you will be required to pay regular luggage fees through the airline with this service. So if you need to pay for your checked bag, that will still be required.

This could be a great incentive for flying with Southwest Airlines. At this time, it’s the only airline that partners with Disney to provide this service.
We’ll make sure to update you if any more information is announced about this offering.
