If you’ve been to Magic Kingdom, you might have heard the piano playing while you walked down Main Street, U.S.A. One of our favorite piano-playing Cast Members has officially earned his Legacy Award at Disney World.
You can find Grayson, the piano player, banging out classic Disney tunes and ragtime melodies in front of Casey’s Corner. He’s been known to pull out some deep cuts like the Main Street Electrical Parade soundtrack, songs from past attractions and fireworks shows, and tunes from movies that you might have forgotten about.
The Walt Disney Legacy Award is for Cast Members, crew, and Walt Disney Imagineering worldwide and recognizes individuals who have all three Legacy qualities: Dream, Create, and Inspire. Less than 1% of Cast Members in Disney Experiences achieve this award, and it’s an honor for Grayson to have achieved this.
His colleagues say he’s the type of person who turns the smallest interactions into a lifelong magical memory. Grayson said, “This is the honor of a lifetime. To be recognized in front of my friends and leaders, right here in Magic Kingdom, is something I’ll never forget.”
Sarah Riles, the Vice President of Magic Kingdom, said, “Grayson has a gift for making every guest feel special. This Legacy Award is just a reflection of the magic he shares with all of us every single day. Because at Disney, it’s not just about the attractions, the fireworks, or even the churros, though those are great. It’s about people like Grayson, whose passion and heart make every visit to Magic Kingdom unforgettable.”
Make sure you keep an eye out for the blue name tags in the parks and remember that you can leave a Cast Compliment in the Walt Disney Experience App to recognize Cast Members across the parks and resorts who you find special.

Kudos to Grayson!!!!! The man can PLAY!!!! Enjoy all his music, especially the PARADE medley & the Fantasmic medley. Grayson is a big ingredient of the DISNEY MAGIC!!!!!!
The MAN can PLAY!!!!!! Always have Casey’s on must visit list to listen to Garyson play. Also enjoy the videos on line of him. Kudos to Garyson for this honor! YOU DESERVE IT,,,BIG TIME!!!! He is a big part of the Disney MAGIC!!!!!! HIS Spectromagic medley is my favorite.
