In case you missed it, Beak and Barrel reservations were a hot topic in Disney World when they first launched in August. When the reservations first opened, the website crashed due to tech issues, and Disney had to drop a new reservation booking date the following week.

Once they were finally able to open, the lounge’s availability filled up almost entirely through October! As the popularity of the bar continues, Disney has made a big change that now limits guests to parties of 8 or less in the bar.

Inside the Beak and Barrel!

The bar, which features 3 distinct rooms as well as standing options, isn’t the biggest dining spot in Disney World, and we can see it being tough to accommodate larger groups in the space. Over on the My Disney Experience App, when you go to select a date and time, you can now only select up to parties of 8, including infants.

That might be disappointing for anyone heading to Disney World in a group bigger than 8, but at the time of writing, we’ve spotted a loophole! Over on the Disney World website, not the app, you can still book for parties up to 20 people.

Inside the bar, the largest table that would be able to accommodate parties of 20 is intended for multiple parties to share during their time dining. We anticipate that this change will hit the website eventually, but for now, if you have a larger group, be sure to book on the website and not the app. At the time of writing, reservations for the Beak and Barrel are completely booked through November 7th, which is as far as the booking system goes.

We will be sure to keep an eye on the system to see if there is an update anytime soon. As always, keep following AllEars for more Disney news, updates, and more!

  1. And that little tip puts the disadvantage back on the little parties, which Disney was apparently trying to alleviate. It’s not like they can’t divide their party up and take their chances like the rest of us. I was hoping to give it a shot for my December trip, party of 2. I hope they fix your loophole before my 60 days prior.
