Go Behind-the-Scenes of a Brand-New Show Coming to the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship

We’re getting more news on the Disney Cruise Line!

Progress is underway as we get ready for the Disney Destiny to set sail for the first time later this year. We’re so excited to step aboard and experience this brand-new ship — and somehow, that excitement has increased. You need to check out what Disney Imagineering has put together for the new ship.

The Disney Destiny will officially set sail from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in November 2025. The ship will feature a heroes and villains theme — where you’ll spot characters from classic Disney movies, Pixar, and Marvel.

The stern of the ship featuring Spider-Man was recently installed last week, and Disney shared a look with us. This is the first time a Marvel character has been featured as the stern for a Disney cruise ship.

Continuing on the hero’s theme, did you know that there will be a Broadway-style show coming to the cruise ship? This show is based on the all-time Disney animated classic Hercules, and Disney Imagineering has a lot in store for guests.

Disney Imagineering and Disney Live Entertainment just shared a NEW peek with everyone on what’s coming to the new show. The new show will feature giant puppets using cutting-edge exoskeletons. The puppets will bring to life the Titans of the Underworld, and they look insane. Take a look at what Disney put on their Instagram!

The new show will debut along with the ship in November, and we’ll be going the distance to watch it!

The show will stay true to the original story, but it will also have a fresh, contemporary new setting. Get ready to sing along, because this show will feature some of your favorite hits from the movie — including “Go the Distance,” “Zero to Hero,” and “I Won’t Say I’m in Love”. Also, get ready to hear a new song called “Shooting Star”, a song that was supposed to be in the film but didn’t make it in the end.
