REVIEW: Is Disney’s NEW Columbia Harbour House Sandwich BETTER Than What It Replaced?

When you’re in Magic Kingdom, you may feel a little discouraged at the dining options available.

Columbia Harbour House

We totally get it — Magic Kingdom isn’t known for its great food — but we promise you that there ARE good options out there that don’t break the bank, and don’t require a dining reservation. One of our absolute favorite quick-service places to eat in the park is Columbia Harbour House, and we’re here to report that this vegan option is WAY better than the alternative you can find elsewhere.

At Columbia Harbour House, you can grab the Hearts of Palm and Artichoke Roll for $12.49. It’s Dressed and served chilled with Lettuce and Tomato on a Toasted Roll.

Hearts of Palm and Artichoke Roll

The artichokes really elevate the flavor and help set it apart from the plant based lobster roll at Rosie’s All American Café in Hollywood Studios, which is its most similar comparison. This one is a dollar more and it feels like that money went toward better ingredients. The roll at Rosie’s is hit or miss, but this one is perfectly toasted on the outside with a little crisp but then immediately turns soft and doughy.

It’s BIG and delicious

The filling is creamy and has a dill forward flavor. The heart of palm is softer than what you get at Rosie’s and this one also comes with lettuce and tomato which we really like for the added freshness and texture. We do love the house made chips that come with the one at Rosie’s but here we like that you get to choose your side — fries, rice, or green beans.

We’re big fans!

Overall, we do still love both options, and they’re hard to compare. We enjoy the bread on this one more, and love that it’s a lighter option, but we will miss the sandwich it replaced, which was the crispy mushroom sandwich. This is certainly a good healthier option in Magic Kingdom, and we could see ourselves getting it often, especially on warmer days.
