Harry Potter Ride Announces CLOSURE for 7 Epic Universe Preview Dates

Epic Universe’s official grand opening is right around the corner, but previews have already been giving guests a taste of the magic over the past few weeks — and it’s safe to say, this park is living up to its name!

That said, previews also come with a few unexpected changes, and if you’re planning a visit soon, there’s some slightly less-than-epic news you’ll want to know about— especially if certain attractions are high on your must-do list.

According to the latest update on the Epic Universe Preview page, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry will be closed from May 10th through May 16th during the preview period.

While you won’t be able to hop on the ride during this time, the Ministry of Magic itself isn’t totally off-limits — the area will still be open for self-guided tours, so you can still soak in the wizarding world atmosphere, explore the majestic atrium, and take all the iconic pics your heart desires.

Meanwhile, over at the Isle of Berk, aspiring young dragon trainers will have to put their lessons on pause — Viking Training Camp is scheduled to be closed from May 13th through May 16th. That means fewer chances to climb, play, and train like a true Viking during those dates.

Luckily, there’s still plenty to explore in this land, so your day can stay packed with fiery fun for everyone.

While these closures might throw a slight curveball into your plans, there’s still plenty of epic experiences waiting across the park’s five immersive lands. Whether it’s racing through the stars at Celestial Park or uncovering dark and mysterious secrets that run through Darkmoor, your adventure is far from over.

As always with previews, things are still in technical rehearsal and Universal explained you should expect certain attractions to be unavailable. Although these are planned, there could be other rides or restaurants that unexpectedly close as the park prepares to open.

So, if you’d like to experience the park at its full potential, we suggest waiting to visit after it officially opens on May 22nd. We’ll keep an eye out for any more Epic Universe updates, so stay tuned to us here on AllEars!
