Why Epic Universe Fans Are Marking These 2 Random Weekends on Their Calendars

As part of their marketing campaign for Epic Universe, Universal has been constructing a smaller version of the Chronos, the park’s icon, in different cities around the United States.

Epic Universe

The first city was Atlanta, and now, the Chronos was just set up in Rockefeller Center from April 23rd-26th, and we got a chance to see it in person!

This Chronos was located at Rockefeller Center, close to where the giant Christmas Tree is during the holidays, making it a great spot for foot traffic to easily come by and see it.

The Chronos!

We were really impressed by the design! The statue work and coins for the portals are there. We walked up through a small queue with an employee (we were not sure if they were a Universal Team Member or just a temporary employee) in an Epic polo at the end. They’ll take your photo in front of the Chronos, which has the concept art of the park entrance.

But the BACK is where the real excitement happens — the map is replaced by a screen which plays the CGI sizzle reel of the lands. It’s about a 60-second loop and shows off all five lands. At the end, a QR code pops up on the screen, and two employees encourage you to scan it for the chance to win a five-day trip!

Such a fun display!

Our whole experience was about two minutes long, so it didn’t take up much time at all, and we don’t know if it’s worth it to go out of your way for, but it does bring the park lots of attention due to the location it’s set in. The last two cities it’ll appear in are Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from May 16th-18th, and Chicago, Illinois, from June 13th-18th. So mark your calendars now if you live in one of those cities!

It certainly brought a lot of attention
