5 Things Disney Adults Need To Stop Doing Immediately, According to Other Disney Adults

Disney Adults are the ultimate Disney fans.

The entire cast!

Here at AllEars, we know a thing or two about Disney as our team is made up of Disney Adults! We love to hear from you, our amazing readers, and we recently asked you (as Disney Adults) what you think other Disney Adults need to stop doing immediately, and here is what y’all had to say!

As a disclaimer, we know that not all Disney Adults do all of these things, and this is just a way for Disney Adults to vent. So, without further ado, let’s get into it!

Taking Drinking Around the World Too Far

EPCOT is known for being the park where you can get different alcoholic beverages at each of the World Showcase Pavilions. It has become a trend to get a drink in each country, and while this can be super fun, it should be done in a way that does not cause a person to be unruly or rowdy. We love to Drink Around the World and try all the delicious beverages, but it is essential to pace yourself, especially in the summer heat and since you are in a public space.

If You’re Gonna Drink Around The World In EPCOT, Read This First

Many Disney Adults shared their frustrations with people’s inability to control themselves as they participate in this well-known EPCOT trend. If you want to Drink Around the World, make sure to drink lots of water and keep your stomach full of delicious food to pair with your drink!

Spoiling Rides

Disney Adults can get passionate about their favorite rides and attractions. The odds are that you know the entire pre-show spiel or you know when a surprise effect is about to happen. We know it can be so exciting to show your love for a ride, but it is important to remember that it may be someone’s very first time getting to experience the magic.

Magic Kingdom’s Haunted Mansion

If you can’t help yourself, silently repeat the pre-show spiel in your head or just mouth the words – we get it! It can be so tempting to show off your knowledge and love for something – especially something Disney-related.

Being Scared of Change

Walt Disney once said, “Disneyland will never be completed, as long as there is imagination left in the world,” and the same goes for Disney World. It can be hard to let go of the past as so many rides, lands, and attractions across all Disney parks are undergoing refurbishments or re-themes. Trust us, some of our team members are sad to see specific areas of the parks go as well, but change is inevitable, and it is a way for Disney to continue to stay on top of its competitors.

Plus, these changes give you the perfect excuse to book another vacation to soak up the nostalgia of one your favorite places one last time before construction and closures start!

Holding Spots in Line

We know that lines at Disney World can be long, and waiting is not always everyone’s favorite. In the spirit of fairness, you and everyone in your party who wants to ride a certain attraction should get in line together. If someone needs to run to the restroom or quickly tend to something, spot saving can be understandable, but it can be a real bummer for those who waited to let multiple people back in line to meet up with the one person in their party who waited.

Long Line

When we get in a long line, we like to bring a snack or drink with us to enjoy, chat with our friends, or play games like Heads Up to help pass the time. Plus, you can download the Play Disney Park app, which has trivia and games!

Reselling Merchandise

From time to time, Disney releases popular merchandise items that may only be around for a limited time, like pins, ears, and popcorn buckets. Since some of these items are rare or limited, some people like to buy multiple items to resell later and make a profit.

Exclusive Hollywood Studios Anniversary Merch

Due to this, Disney has started to put purchasing limits in place, but resellers are still able to work around the rules. Some Disney Adults don’t get the opportunity to run to the parks as soon as something new releases, so be mindful and only purchase what you or your friends may need to allow everyone to get a piece of the magic.

  1. I get the holding a spot in line is annoying however Disney is encouraging this now for former DAS guests. If they cannot wait in the line Disney is now telling people to have one person wait in line and then the DAS guests to join as they get to the front of the line. I try not to judge and most of the time it’s no big deal.

  2. I agree with most of these. Some of them can be borderline. I agree with one person saving a place in line for a bunch of people. But with a 9 year old and frequently going with couples with younger kids, is common for the one parent from each couple getting in line while the other takes the kid to the restroom. I think what’s worth is one person trying to save room for a bunch of people on the parade route.

For knowing the spiel I agree, but one is I like to scream on tower of terror (Disney world) when the first click happens for the ride vehicle to move forward. It’s fun to see first timers have that split second panic. But usually other people join in and it’s fun.

  3. I have the ultimate souvenir. I kept my WDW 25th anniversary annual park hopper pass. When I see the price on it, I can’t believe it. 366$. That included Pleasure Island and the water parks.

  4. I can’t staaaand when people try to be impressive (I mean that’s really what’s happening, right?) and join in the pre-show spiels. I think I’m going to start asking them to stop lol. Seriously. So obnoxious.

  5. I was preparing to not like this list based upon the headline and thumbnail, but actually it is all about right.

The thumbnail – I am OK with Disneybounding – who am I to diminish some one else’s fun?

As long as you are not drunk holding a place in line while moaning about how they changed the straws or something, then talking loudly about how its scary when that drop hits in the ride = that THAT is obnoxious.

    1. They turned EPCOT into a PUB CRAWL. Now expanding it to DVC and other parks.

Geeez! Wonder why adults fight, and do dumb things at their parks. Then pit intoxicated vs sober to, via line skipping, not get mad about watching affluent guests walk by as they roast like a thanksgiving turkey in a “unshaded” deodorant testing lab.

      Fantastic results.
