This Snack Is FANTASTIC…and It’s Less Than $10 in Disney World

Are you looking for a delicious Disney World snack that doesn’t break the bank?

Eight Spoon Cafe

Disney food is rarely cheap, so when we find something that’s really tasty and affordable, we have to shout it from the rooftops. We recently stopped by Eight Spoon Café in Disney’s Animal Kingdom to have the Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Pulled Pork, and let’s just say… we get the hype. It’s hearty, it’s flavorful, and it’s all under $10. Let’s talk about it!

If you’ve walked through Discovery Island and caught a whiff of smoky barbecue, chances are you passed Eight Spoon Café. It’s a little walk-up kiosk (technically not a full Quick Service location) that’s easy to miss, but you’ll be glad you didn’t. While it doesn’t stay open all day — and hours can vary — it’s one of those hidden gems we keep coming back to.

Now onto the main event: the Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Pulled Pork. This thing is a total sleeper hit. At $6.79 (or $7.23 after tax), it’s officially considered a snack by Disney standards — but it easily works as a light lunch, especially if you’re park-hopping or just don’t feel like dropping $15 on a full entrée. It comes with a generous scoop of creamy, cheesy macaroni topped with tender pulled pork, drizzled with just enough barbecue sauce to add flavor without overpowering everything.

Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Pulled Pork with Pickles

And yes, it comes with pickles. Just two sweet pickles on top — which, we’ll admit, sounded a little odd at first, but they totally work. They cut through the richness of the mac and cheese and pork combo and add that pop of acidity that keeps each bite from feeling too heavy.

Pickles

Let’s be real: Disney has some amazing snacks, but a lot of them are sweet — cupcakes, churros, Dole Whips. Sometimes you just need something savory and satisfying, especially if you’ve been rope-dropping since sunrise and you’re starting to fade. That’s where this mac and cheese steps in. It’s comfort food that actually fills you up, and it doesn’t feel like theme park food.

What stood out most to us was the texture and quality. The mac and cheese is baked, so you get those nice little crispy edges around the container, which we love. The cheese is creamy but not soupy, and the pulled pork? Not dry at all — it’s super soft and flavorful. This doesn’t taste like it came from a kiosk that doesn’t even have an indoor kitchen.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: good food under $10 in Disney World is rare. Especially something this satisfying. Whether you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, budgeting hard, or just tired of burgers and fries, this is one of those park snacks that feels like a real win.

A few quick tips:

    • Check the hours for Eight Spoon Café before you go — they don’t stay open until park close, and sometimes they open later in the morning.
    • Consider mobile ordering alternatives, because this location doesn’t offer it. It’s old-school walk-up, which is fine, just be ready to wait a few minutes if there’s a crowd.
    • Grab it and go — there’s no seating right at the kiosk, but there are nearby spots to sit and snack.

So next time you’re in Animal Kingdom and want something flavorful, filling, and affordable, skip the standard stuff and head to Eight Spoon Café. This mac and cheese is legit one of the best values in the park — and honestly? It might become your new go-to.
