Users have been asking for months on end, and Disney has finally obliged!
There are tons of shows and movies you can enjoy on Disney+, and more are being added every single month. However, users of the service have been asking Disney for one specific update for a while now, and they’ve finally made it happen — you can now remove shows from the “Continue Watching” section of your app.
Currently, when you begin watching a show or movie on Disney+, it’ll appear in the “Continue Watching” tab of your profile. However, if you’re in the midst of a lot of titles and you’ve decided you want to stop watching some of them, or maybe you added something by accident, there’s now a way to remove the show or film from your “Continue Watching” section.
If you’re on a TV, you’ll want to navigate to the show you want to remove, press and hold the select button on your remote, and then you’ll see a question pop up if you’d like to remove the title. Click Remove, and it’ll be gone! However, if you’re on the show or film’s detail page (not in your Continue Watching section), navigate to the Remove icon on the right side and select Remove.
If you’re on a mobile device, the process is very similar — go to your “Continue Watching” row, navigate to the tile, tap the three dots, and then select Remove. If you’re on the website on a computer, place your cursor over the tile and click the Remove icon from the top right corner.
The best part? Even if you remove a title from your “Continue Watching” tab, it won’t lose your progress! So if in a few months you decide you’d like to pick back up where you left off, that’s no issue. Starting today, this update is available on the web, Apple TV, and iOS devices, and other platforms will get the update in the coming weeks.
