Disney World has really changed over the years, especially the perks of staying at a Disney hotel.

Guests have been more frustrated with the perks that used to be available when staying at a Disney resort that has disappeared. We asked our readers “What change would you like to see most at Disney World hotels?” and they brought back the nostalgia for us.
Before we get into our readers’ answers, if you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!
Package Delivery
For anyone who’s stayed at a Disney World resort hotel pre-2020, you might remember the magic of hotel package delivery. When you bought Disney souvenirs, they would magically arrive at your Disney hotel. Since the perk went away, Disney fans are begging for it back.

Sarah wrote “Delivery of purchases from the parks. I feel that one might be doable.” Christa agreed writing “Resort delivery!!! They should have figured out that most people would spend a lot more money if they didn’t have to carry packages around all day.” We have to agree. We aren’t sure why it feels like Disney is refusing to bring back this perk, but we know so many fans would love it.

REAL Extra Magic Hours
The second most popular answer was for Disney to bring back Extra Magic Hours — yes, hours with an s as in multiple. Our readers definitely remember the days when ALL resort guests had extra time in the parks. Extra Magic Hours were by Early Theme Park Entry (30 mins) and deluxe resort guests have Extended Evening Hours.

Clarissa says “Evening extra magic hours for all classes like it used to be.”. Our reader Bonnie wrote, “Bring back extra magic hours at night for all resorts.” Guests would love some extra time in the parks.

Better Refrigerators
Surprisingly, a few readers wrote that Disney should have better refrigerators. Brian wrote “Better refrigerators in the Value Resorts. They are good for some drinks but not cold enough to sustain food/dairy products, plus they are too small.” This would be helpful for guests who might need it for medical needs or just to store snacks.

Definite YES to the better frig. Frigidaire makes a small frig with a separate freezer compartment. If I could fit mine in my car, I would bring it!!! Beverage cooler just doesn’t cut it for us. We wind up bringing our bigger cooler and packing it with plenty of ice to keep things cold enough not to spoil. Also, a microwave in every room. Most of the motels like Best Western where we have stayed have those as basics. Would be a huge plus for us.
