REVIEW: Disneyland Just Released 5 New Snacks and We’re Obsessed With Them ALL

We don’t know what’s in the air over in Disneyland, but whatever it is, it’s resulting in some new snacks we HAVE to tell you about.

Disneyland

Over the past few days, Disneyland Resort has released a plethora of new snacks — some of them sweet, some of them savory — and if you’re headed into the parks soon, you need to know about ALL of them so you can rush to grab the ones that catch your eye!

We’re starting off very strong with the new Cheesy Biscuits and Cajun Cheese Sauce over at Royal Street Veranda! The biscuits themselves are $8.99 and are cheesy biscuits with sharp cheddar and cajun cheese brushed with garlic butter. The Cajun Cheese Sauce is an optional add-on for $1.39… but let’s be honest — it’s NOT optional because it’s so good!

Cheesy Biscuits and Cajun Cheese Sauce

These were incredible! They basically tasted like Cheeze-It’s in biscuit form. The biscuit was cooked perfectly in our opinion — it was denser than we thought it’d be, not flaky or dry at all. Cheddar is the strongest flavor here with a bit of garlic in the aftertaste.

These are incredible!

We didn’t really get too much Cajun flavor, there was a tiny Cajun spice flavor after some bites but that’s it. The sauce was warm and obviously cheesy which added a sharper cheese flavor to each bite.

We highly recommend it!

We’d recommend getting the sauce to go with the biscuits as it adds to the flavor and makes the biscuits a bit softer as the sauce gets soaked up!

Next up was Schmoozies for the new Hazelnut Mickey-shaped Waffles — yes, these are Mickey waffles FILLED with chocolate-hazelnut spread for $10.99.

Hazelnut Mickey-shaped Waffles

These weren’t served with syrup when we got them, but honestly, we were okay with that, as we think it may have made them too sweet. As it stands, the waffles were served fresh and warm with lots of powdered sugar! The waffles had a sweet buttery taste and were cooked to have the perfect crunch. The chocolate hazelnut filling adds a rich and chocolatey flavor with a light hazelnut flavor in each bite.

Very rich!

These were pretty sweet and rich, we only had one and would recommend splitting unless you’re really hungry or really love Nutella!

Next up was another savory option over at San Fransokyo Cerveceria. The new Pretzel-wrapped Hot Dog is a regular 12-inch hot dog wrapped in pretzel dough complete with scallions and mustard. It cost $10.99 and was totally worth the price for us!

Pretzel-wrapped Hot Dog

The hot dog itself wasn’t anything special, it tasted like the average hot dog from any of the carts/stands around the park, but the bun really was what blew us away. It was golden brown and crispy with big chunks of salt and the crunch on the outside of the bun was heavenly.

If you love hot dogs, this is solid!

If you love hot dogs, we strongly recommend this one and think you’ll really enjoy it — we’ll likely find ourselves here for lunch fairly often!

Back over to the sweets, we love the Chocolate Chip Cookies over at Harbour Galley and have for a while, but there’s a new dipping sauce here we got to try! The new sauce is called Chocolate-Hazelnut Whip and it can be yours for $1.39.

Chocolate Chip Cookies with the new Chocolate-Hazelnut Whip

The cookies were warm, fresh, and gooey as they always are, which we loved, and the chocolate hazelnut whip had a light, whipped, and cool texture to it. The cookies had more of a rich chocolate flavor while the whip had a sweeter and lighter chocolate flavor to it.

We were VERY excited!

We weren’t getting too much hazelnut flavor between the chocolate chips and chocolate in the whip, but overall if you want to make this treat extra chocolatey or you love Nutella, we’d say go ahead and get the whip to enjoy with your cookies!

We loved it!

No matter what, these cookies are iconic so be sure to try them on your next trip!

Finally, we have the Peanut Butter Raspberry Chocolate Square for $7.29 from Trolley Treats.

Peanut Butter Raspberry Chocolate Square

This was ANOTHER win for us! The raspberry flavor tasted fresh and vibrant while the chocolate flavor was pretty light. The peanut butter filling had a light texture but had a rich and creamy peanut flavor while the peanuts added a nice little crunch inside. It gave us peanut butter and jelly vibes in the best way, so we highly recommend it.

We were nervous, but we loved it!
