A great perk to take advantage of on your Disney World vacation is the free transportation that can take you to Disney parks, Disney Springs, water parks, and Disney resorts.

It’s perfect if you don’t have your vehicle with you on your trip or don’t want to worry about driving. While you might have used one of Disney’s buses, boats, monorail, or Skyliner, you might not be using these transportation hacks. Don’t worry, we’ll let you in on one secret we use every time we can.
If you’re heading to the Magic Kingdom, no matter if it’s by car or ride share, you’ll have to go to the Transportation and Ticket Center first. It’s the only Disney World park where you can’t simply park your car and walk to the entrance.

From the Transportation and Ticket Center, you can take either the monorail or the ferry over to the park. We usually suggest the monorail, even if the line looks long as we have had better luck with that mode being quicker.

Of course, there are days that the monorail or the ferry are down for maintenance and when this happens, Disney will run buses from the TTC to Magic Kingdom. We have also seen Disney offer this on days when it is very crowded. If you see a sign out like the one below, take the bus!

The bus station is right at the entrance to Magic Kingdom and we have experienced this being quicker as there are usually multiple buses and often, guests do not use them. It’s about a 5 minute drive over to the park from the TTC.

Now, again, this isn’t something offered every day, but when it is, we try to always to advantage of it to hit those rides quicker.
