Are you getting excited for Epic Universe like we are?!

The new Universal theme park will have five new lands, tons of new rides, several new restaurants, and much more. It’s opening on May 22nd, 2025, which is just around the corner! You’ll be able to visit Super Nintendo World, Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, How To Train Your Dragon: Isle of Birk, Celestial Park, and Dark Universe. Speaking of Dark Universe, we recently spotted an exciting update in the horror-themed land!
Bioreconstruct on X (previously Twitter) frequently shares updates on construction happening at Epic Universe. Occasionally, as work progresses at the new park, they catch rides getting tested! It’s exciting to see rides being tested, as it’s a huge step toward opening day.

Most recently, we spotted testing being done on the Curse of the Werewolf spinning coaster at Dark Universe! There is also a berm being shaped near the new Burning Blade Tavern.

The Curse of the Werewolf will be a spinning family coaster themed to The Wolf Man. According to Universal you’ll “greeted by Maleva, the guild’s all-knowing seer and leader, who warns them that they bear the mark of the werewolf.”

“Guests then board a wagon and venture into the forest, racing to escape the werewolves before they become one themselves.”

Dark Universe will also have an E-ticket ride Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment. Universe describes this ride as “Dr. Victoria Frankenstein continues the work of her ancestors deep below the family estate. A demonstration of her experiments to control monsters goes awry when Dracula leads a revolt of enraged monsters including The Wolf Man, The Mummy, the Creature from the Black Lagoon and more.”

There will be three dining locations, meet-and-greets, and more at this new land! We can’t wait to experience all it has to offer along with the other four new lands at Epic Universe! Tickets to this new park are now available, so head over to the Universal Orlando website to grab yours now.
