Name a more iconic Magic Kingdom restaurant than Cinderella’s Royal Table. Go on, I’ll wait!
Now, many of you are fans of the restaurant, but not everyone is feeling the love for it. A recent review from a fan left us with the impression that they seriously regretted paying for their experience, so let’s find out what happened!
As we were saying, one of our readers recently left a review of Cinderella’s Royal Table, and it’s pretty clear that they regretted having paid to eat there.
Let’s dive into what they shared.
Here’s what they said:
“I really wanted to love “Cindy’s” after 15 years of regular visits to WDW without being able to get a reservation. My daughter really wanted to go here for her 20th birthday so I did all the ridiculousness to get the reservation
I want to start with the positive, the character interaction in the dining room was fantastic! They were so friendly and didn’t rush even though we were a party of adults
Unfortunately the rest was just mediocre. I ordered the steak & eggs (to justify the $70 price tag) and it wasn’t good. The steak was the worst steak of the entire week and most this trip were not good. The egg & potato frittata needed more of the Boursin cheese. My son had the shrimp & grits – which I actually thought was pretty good- but he didn’t care for them. My daughter had the bananas Foster French toast and said it tasted like fake banana. The service was fine but not special, which is something that seems common now. Our seat was right off the entrance landing – so no view of Fantasy land for adult diners. Overall I was disappointed. I feel I had realistic expectations because I’ve read the reviews and know that sometimes even the best restaurants have an off day. This was really the most disappointing meal of the trip. I won’t go back until I have granddaughters.”
They even rated the restaurant 5 out of 10 stars! That’s a tough score for a restaurant that Disney enthusiasts typically rave about. The reader also went on to list the pros and cons as they saw them.
Pros:
-
- None
Cons:
-
- Price, Food
In their conclusion, the experience just didn’t justify the cost.
Our Thoughts on Cinderella’s Royal Table
There’s hardly anything on the Disney World property that can top dining in Cinderella Castle. I mean, for Pete’s sake, you’re dining in THE Cinderella Castle!
It’s truly a magical experience you won’t get anywhere else, but that does come at a price. We have enjoyed our meals there, but we’ll be the first to tell you that it’s quite a steep price for meals that you can find elsewhere on the property.
The princesses are the big draw here, and if that’s the item you’re trying to check off the bucket list, then you might want to check out Cinderella’s Royal Table. Here is our list the pros and cons as we saw them.
Pros:
-
- One of the most unique dining experiences in all of Disney World.
- The best views of Magic Kingdom (if you can get a window seat).
- You’ll meet a ton of Disney princesses.
Cons:
-
- This is a PRICEY meal.
- You’ll lose a sizable chunk of your day dining here.
- Your budget will be tested here.
Is It Worth the Money?
Ultimately, the value of Cinderella’s Royal Table is going to depend on your expectations, your budget, and if it’s a major bucket list item for you. We’ll leave you to decide.

The food was mediocre at best. Nothing special. The service was comparable to service at a mid priced restaurant. In fact we had to ask several times to refill our drinks and other. The princesses were a nice touch; however, a couple were observed talking to each other. Problem was that their conversation was overheard…personal issues. This ruined the fantasy. I would rate this entire experience as 2/5 stars and I’m being generous.
Have only been there twice and the food was excellent! Our most recent time was this past October, which was kind of our sendoff trip for WDW with young kids, as our two kiddos are growing up so fast, and we so many other places to visit. So this was our victory lap trip until ask the MK changes are done in 2029.
Anyway we got the BEST seats in the house by luck – the windows that look out over Fantasyland. The beef tenderloin was delicious, the sides were great and dessert was great too!
It honestly could not have been a more perfect experience! 😁
