It’s finally happening!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is officially open at Disneyland! It follows behind the opening of the ride at Disney World earlier this year, and we’ve been looking forward to this day for a while. The new ride takes you on an adventure down the bayou with Tiana and friends, and it seems that a lot of people were highly anticipating this ride because the crowd is ready!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure officially opened at Disneyland on November 15th, 2024. We headed to the park to check out the new ride and to see what the crowds were like for opening day. We tried to get in on the virtual queue at 7AM, but right AT 7AM, the virtual queue was already full.

We were surprised when we arrived at the parking lot and there was hardly a line to park. We also walked right through security and onto the tram. There was also no line at the entry turnstiles. It just seemed like a normal rope drop day. Even when we made it to Bayou Country, there didn’t seem to be a lot of folks in the area, at least not as many as we would have expected.

Because the ride operates with a Virtual Queue that you have to enter on the Disneyland app at 7AM, 12PM, or 4PM. the queue wasn’t super crowded on the first day. Note that there is no standby line for this ride. You can also purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass and select a Lightning Lane for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure if you want to skip the Virtual Queue.

However, a few hours later at 9AM, the ride was temporarily closed. We checked again around 11:30, though, and it had reopened.

We checked a few hours later, and it was FINALLY back up. We also managed to get a spot in the virtual queue when it opened back up at 12PM.

However, the ride went down AGAIN later, so it seems to be struggling today.
We also noticed that there was a line later in the day at Louis’ Critter Club store. Although there was no line there earlier in the morning, and you could enter through either side, this afternoon, it was set up so you could only enter through one side, with the Pooh Corner side being the exit only.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure picks up where the movie ends. Tiana is throwing a Mardi Gras party and needs your help finding the missing ingredient. Wander down the bayou, searching out the perfect band for the exciting celebration while enjoying music and adventure along the way!
It’s an exciting day over at Disneyland as this highly anticipated ride finally opens! For more Disney news, keep following AllEars!
