Come with Us To Ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disneyland!

Today’s the day! We’re going down the bayou with Tiana and friends at Disneyland!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disneyland

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has officially opened in Disneyland! While the East Coast version of this ride has been open in Disney World for a few months, the Disneyland version officially opens on November 15th. We got to preview the ride before it officially opened and are taking you along with us!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure replaced the previous ride Splash Mountain at both Disney World and Disneyland. The ride takes place after the movie The Princess and the Frog when Tiana has opened her restaurant. Now she’s putting on a Mardi Gras party for the town, but needs help finding the missing ingredient! So let’s enter the queue!

When you first head into the queue, you can see lots of restaurant decor and more from Tiana’s General Store.

You can even get a peek into Tiana’s kitchen. It looks like she’s cooking up some of her world-famous beignets!

Be sure to take a moment to take in all the details. There are a ton of little things to enjoy. The queue is similar to the one in Disney World, but there might be a little less of it in this version due to space issues.

As you get closer to the loading area, you’ll see safety signs reminding you to remain seated once you get in the log.

Once you make it to the loading area, you’ll hop in your log and head down the bayou.

Let’s head into the bayou!

The ride is very similar to the one in Disney World. There are singing and cute new characters. Tiana is at the beginning explaining your mission: find the very special ingredients needed for her big party.

Let’s help Tiana!

Then you’ll start your adventure to find those ingredients. Mama Odie will shrink you down at one point to the size of a frog.

Let’s start our search!

It’s a magical trip, to say the least.

You’ll also run into some old friends, like Louis.

You’ll see some new faces, too. Many of the bayou critters are musicians, after all.

Playing the bongos

Don’t forget to wave at the fireflies as you pass by.

There’s also a really cool lighting effect as you go up the ride’s big lift. Mama Odie is there to help you return to your normal size.

Up we go!

Then you splash down to join the big party.

We made it to the party!

We’re excited that both versions of this ride will finally be open soon! If you’re planning a trip to Disneyland, be sure to try and grab a spot for the ride’s virtual queue (we’ve got details on the virtual queue here) or purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass.

We’ll be doing a comparison of this version of the ride to the one in Disney World (and yes, there are some differences), so you’ll want to check back with us soon.
