See the Crowd Trends at a SOLD OUT Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom

Merry Christmas (essentially)!

We’re here at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!

We’re so excited to be at the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of the year experiencing all the fun entertainment, exciting snacks, and general holly jolly spirit. But how many people are with us tonight visiting the park for this after-hours event? Let’s take a look at crowds!

Entrance

We arrived outside of the park around 3:30 PM and noticed that crowds were definitely here.

The crowds are here!

Crowds are almost always pretty heavy right around the early entrance at 4PM, since most guests want to get the most of their party tickets. Once we got scanned in, it was better.

Town Square

We waited only a few minutes to get our wristbands, which were given to us for the event. During the time that the park is still open to all guests and when it closes for regular guests at 6 PM and the party doesn’t start until 7 PM, the wristbands will help determine that you’re able to hop in line for rides or dining locations.

During the Party

Once the party began, we noticed that the crowds around the castle were bare.

As it began to get darker, Main Street was filling up!

Here’s a look at the wait times at 7 PM. We saw Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at a 40-minute wait while Meet Mickey at Town Square was 50 minutes.

Haunted Mansion and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh saw a 20-minute wait.

We still saw low wait times of 5 minutes for The Barnstormer, Dumbo, and Under the Sea- Journey of The Little Mermaid.

At 8:30 PM, just as the first parade of the night, this is what we saw in wait times. The biggest one we noticed was to Meet Mickey dropped to just 15 minutes.

There were a lot of rides at 5 minutes including Pirates of the Caribbean, Tomorrowland Speedway, and Big Thunder Mountain just to name a few. If you want to hit the rides, we suggest going at 8:30PM and then catching the second parade at 11PM.

Later in the evening, the crowds were pretty low when we were waiting for the second parade in Frontierland. If you don’t mind not watching the parade on Main Street, we highly recommend watching it here for less crowds.

Low crowds for the second parade!

Of course, Main Street is still pretty busy later in the evenings, but look how beautiful it is!
