CONFIRMED: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Will Be Open During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party — Here’s How To Ride

Here’s a little Disney World ride hack for ya: you can experience some WAY shorter lines in Magic Kingdom if you visit the park during a seasonal party. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, for example, offers all kinds of festive holiday entertainment, including some holiday overlays at classic Magic Kingdom rides. (Lookin’ at you, Jingle Cruise!)

But that’s not all! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party also offers the unique opportunity to ride a popular new Magic Kingdom ride without a virtual queue. Don’t worry — we’ll show you how.

For a little background, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a seasonal holiday event that takes place on select nights in Magic Kingdom. The party offers lower crowds, a special parade, fireworks, treats, meet-and-greets, and more. What better way to celebrate Christmas, right?

Many Magic Kingdom rides are also open during the party, including popular coasters like TRON Lightcycle / Run, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Space Mountain. The best part? Those lines are MUCH shorter than normal. It’s a great time to ride your favorite rides without waiting in a long standby queue.

Disney also confirmed that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the newest attraction in Magic Kingdom, will be open during the event. On a normal, non-party day, you can only ride this attraction if you pay for Lightning Lane Multi Pass or score a spot in Magic Kingdom’s free virtual queue. Translation: no standby line! BUT, during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you can hop in line whenever you want — Magic Kingdom will utilize a standby line!

If you haven’t had the chance to ride this new attraction yet, it’s worth visiting. Just be warned — you might get wet! The story of the ride picks up after the events in The Princess and the Frog, as Princess Tiana searches for a missing ingredient before her Mardi Gras Party.
