This Popcorn Bucket Hack Is a Game Changer for Disney World

Mmm…popcorn! Disney World’s popcorn is some of the best we’ve ever had. No joke!

We don’t know what they do to make it SO good, but it’s pretty amazing. You can grab it by the box full, but it’s way better in a large bucket! If you get your popcorn in one of Disney’s buckets, you can keep going back for discounted refills — what a deal! There has been one problem with some of these popcorn buckets, though — the cover can fall right off, leaving behind sad, dumped popcorn never to be enjoyed on the ground. Luckily, we have a solution for this upsetting debacle!

We scoped out Amazon and found these nifty rubber bands! And you know what we love about Amazon? Prime members get FREE shipping! So don’t forget to snag a free trial of Amazon Prime before your Disney World vacation to get free shipping on all your packing essentials.

These are not your typical rubber bands. These are great for closing up containers or holding bigger objects in place. So we thought we’d try using one on our popcorn bucket so we never have to see sad sidewalk popcorn again.

Set of Bands

If you (or your kids) are prone to accidentally dumping or dropping your popcorn bucket, these bands can help keep the popcorn where it’s supposed to — in the bucket and in your tummy! The initial process of putting the band on can be a little tedious as you have to take the handle off to get the band around the bucket and securely in place over the cover, but once it’s on, it’s great! When you open the bucket for a handful of the good stuff, simply hold the band up so it doesn’t fall off, and you have to repeat the process.

We like to clip our popcorn bucket to our backpack so we don’t have to carry it all day long, so having this band wrapped around it was very convenient! Plus, that way, it doesn’t have to take up room inside the backpack.

So convenient!

The one downside is that it did happen to attract dirt, gravel, and hair when we set it down because the rubber is pretty grippy. However, it was easy to wipe that all away before we opened the cover. Overall, we enjoyed having this convenient little hack to prevent any terrible popcorn fiascos! (More popcorn for us!)
