Tis the season for all things spooky in Disney World!
Well, we’ll be honest, it’s really not-so-scary (Mickey says so himself!). In fact, this season is filled with lots of sweet treats and fun activities! And if you’re in the mood for some Halloween goodies, you need to head to Disney Springs for some new snacks.
We stopped by Disney Springs recently to try out a bunch of new snacks. Let’s dive into our reviews!
Amorette’s Patisserie
We’re kicking off this Halloween adventure at Amorette’s Patisserie, where we tried two treats! There’s the Madame Leota Petit Cake and the Wilting Rose.
The Madame Leota Petit Cake is made with layers of chocolate chiffon cake, caramel mousse, and crushed pretzels, and can be purchased for $22.
This was excellent with a crushed pretzel center and some rich caramel flavor. The layers were really nice and rich, held together well by the fondant exterior. The real star of the show was the stunning Madame Leota gelatin decor on the outside, though! It was a little fruity and tart as well.
The Wilting Rose is made with a chocolate biscuit with dark chocolate mousse and raspberry sauce and costs $8.25. This was a really rich and smooth chocolate mousse on the inside and had a hint of raspberry.
The outer coating was a little tough to break through, but it did a great job of holding everything together. We would totally try this again!
Now on to the next spot!
Marketplace Snacks
Head to Marketplace Snacks to pick up the Mickey Pumpkin Waffle Sundae for $9.49. It has vanilla soft serve, pumpkin caramel, and M&Ms. Yum!
This was super cute to look at but nothing really special taste-wise. The print on the caramel smudges and makes a mess, and we’ve already seen the combination of vanilla + M&Ms on other treats at this stand before. It’s topped with chocolate-dipped Pocky sticks, so those add a nice crunch, but other than that, it’s a simple treat.
The caramel drizzle was warm and gooey, but it slides down into the bottom of the waffle real quick. Not bad overall, but there are better snacks to choose.
Swirls on the Water
At Swirls on the Water, you’ll find the Maleficent Cone for $6.49. This is a black vanilla cone filled with pistachio and purple cheesecake soft serve swirl, topped with chocolate horns.
It has a really beautiful blend of the pistachio and cheesecake flavors. The chocolate horns were hollow and one-sided, which meant they had some trouble staying on top of the cone.
If you like pistachio and cheesecake, this is a really unique treat we think you should try!
The Ganachery
Last but not least, we stopped by The Ganachery to see their Halloween selection! First up, they’ve got the Mickey Pumpkin Piñata for $28. Isn’t he cute?!
If you’re interested in something else sweet, you could also check out the Oogie Boogie Bag for $14, the Witch Minnie Salted Caramel Ganache Pop for $7.50, the Haunted Mansion Portrait Bars for $18, or the Hitchhiking Ghosts Chocolate Chiller for $7 each. That’s a lot to choose from!
We didn’t pick anything out to try, but we thought you’d want to know about all the options! The chocolates here are usually quite delicious.
That’s a wrap on our visit to Disney Springs! Stay tuned to AllEars for more snack reviews.
