BREAKING: This Teaser Gives Our First Look at 'Percy Jackson' Season 2

This weekend, Disney hosted the massive D23 Ultimate Fan Event in Anaheim, California. The sprawling convention broke news from across Disney’s spectrum of offerings, including films, television streaming, video games, and parks.

During Friday night’s panel on Disney entertainment, the company released a new teaser for the upcoming second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

After giving a brief recap of the first season, the clip shows what appears to be new footage of the currently in-production second season, before confirming it’s based on the Sea of Monsters, the second novel in the series.

According to Disney, the second season of the series will be “based on The Sea of Monsters, the second installment in Disney Hyperion’s best-selling book series by award-winning author Rick Riordan. Set a year after the events of Season 1, it finds Percy Jackson returning to Camp Half-Blood—only to find his world turned upside down. Percy realizes his friendship with Annabeth is changing, he learns he has a cyclops for a brother, Grover has gone missing, and camp is under siege from the forces of Kronos. Percy’s journey to set things right will take him off the map and into the deadly Sea of Monsters, where a secret fate awaits the son of Poseidon.”
