Why Haven’t They Banned These Disney World Hotel Hacks Yet?

Staying at a Disney World hotel can take your vacation to a whole new level — but it can also take it to a whole new price level too.

It’s no secret that Disney World hotels aren’t cheap, but there are plenty of ways to ease the burden on your wallet a bit. Which begs the question, why haven’t they banned these Disney World hotel hacks yet?!

Renting DVC Points

Have you even considered renting DVC points for your trip? Disney Vacation Club is Disney’s timeshare program, and members of the club earn a certain number of points each year to be spent on stays at Disney resorts. When they don’t get the chance to use all their points for the year, they rent them out so that non-DVC people can use them.

Several sites offer this service, but we recommend David’s Vacation Club Rentals. By renting points through David’s, you can get Disney Vacation Club rooms and villas at a fraction of the cost that you would pay on the Disney World site.

Splitting Your Stay

You’ve always wanted to stay at a Disney World Deluxe Resort — but those are as expensive as they come. Doing a split stay — booking rooms at more than one hotel for different parts of your trip — can be a great way to experience a Deluxe hotel without breaking the bank.

Split stays can also be fun because they allow you to explore more hotels and the rest of what Disney World has to offer! We recommend staying at a Value or Moderate hotel first and ending your trip with a Deluxe stay for a grand finale.

Table Service in Your Room

Okay, this one might not be a money-saving tip per se, but we still can’t believe you can get table-service meals from select Disney World hotel restaurants…in your room! You’ve heard of Mobile Order, but have you heard of Table Service To-Go?

This service is available at select Disney World Resort restaurants, where you can essentially order items off of table service menus through Mobile Order in the My Disney Experience app. With this perk, you can order bread service from Sanaa, burgers from Steakhouse 71, or Parker House Rolls from Ale & Compass (plus many others), and you don’t even need a reservation!

Deluxe Perks at Value Costs

If you’re looking to keep your budget in check, consider staying at a Value hotel but visiting a Deluxe one to take advantage of some of those perks! You may not be able to swim in the Deluxe Resort pools, but this is a great way to explore other restaurants around the hotels.

Plus, we often prefer the dining options at Deluxe hotels rather than those at Value spots. And, you don’t have to be staying at a hotel to enjoy its daytime and evening activities! There are movies under the stars, crafts, and lots more depending on the resort.

If you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!
