Experiencing rain during your Disney World trip can be pretty disappointing, but in this case — it’s definitely a good thing!

Disney World offers free transportation between the parks, hotels, and Disney Springs via buses, the monorail, the Skyliner, and boats. Each comes with pros and cons, and one major con for the boats is that they need, well, water to run. Up until recently, one boat route was closed for that very thing.
Look, we don’t claim to be able to see the future or be powerful witches — nothing like that. All we’re saying is that we were hoping the recent rain we had in Central Florida would be enough for Disney World to reopen the Sassagoula River Cruise boats that run as transportation between Disney Springs and the resorts in that area…

…and reopen they did! They had been closed for a while because the water level was too low, so it looks like our wishes have come true.

Thanks to the extended rain Disney World experienced over the last week, the Sassagoula River Boats have finally reopened, allowing folks to take them between Old Key West and Saratoga Springs hotels and Disney Springs!

Oh I love to take the water taxis between Port Orleans to Disney Springs. It is so easy. When it gets too busy at the Springs, I just hop on and off I go.
