If you haven’t visited Disneyland, you might just be missing out.

We know, we know, a lot of us are huge Disney World stans, but Disneyland has a lot to offer, too. First, visiting Disneyland is a chance to literally walk in Walt Disney’s footsteps. Then, of course, you have what many believe to be the better versions of Pirates of the Caribbean and “it’s a small world.” Disneyland also still has Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride…which is…well, wild. If you DO end up planning a trip to Disneyland, though, we have a big update to share.
Disneyland has recently changed its resort reservation policy, and we wanted to make sure you are aware of the new changes. If you book a package including a hotel reservation and park tickets, you can get a full refund within 24 hours of booking if you booked 72 hours before you’re scheduled to check-in to the hotel.

You also need to know that the full price of vacation packages is now non-refundable at three days before you arrive — this was previously four days. You also can’t make any changes once you hit that 3-day mark before your trip.
If you need to cancel your vacation package 30 days or more before your trip, you can get a full refund. For cancellations made between four and 29 days before you arrive, you’ll get a refund minus a $200 cancellation fee per package. Note that this doesn’t include any fees assessed by third-party hotels, non-refundable travel insurance/protection, or other similar fees. If you cancel three days or less or you just don’t show, the full price of the package is non-refundable.

For those who book packages, you will receive your tickets, itinerary, and digital vouchers plus any other Magical Extras electronically to your MyDisney account three days before your arrival (this was previously four days).

If you just book a Disneyland hotel, reservation cancellations must be received at least four days prior to your arrival (this was previously five days) to get a full refund. Any cancellation that happens less than four days before your arrival date will result in a cancellation fee equal to the first night’s room plus taxes and fees.
Those with a room-only reservation can get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours, but only if the room was booked at least 72 hours before your scheduled arrival date.
