NEWS: Genie+ Prices SURPRISED Us Today in Disney World!

Spring Break season has TAKEN over Disney World, and we’ve seen the crowds and high wait times as a result.

However, this weekend could suggest that the Spring Break crowds are beginning to dwindle, especially considering that yesterday’s price for Genie+ was the lowest we’ve seen in weeks. Well, as of today, April 7th, the price for Genie+ has gone down even LOWER.

As we mentioned, we saw the price of Genie+ go down yesterday to the following:

EPCOT

As of today, the price has dropped $6 from yesterday and $10 lower than the past two weeks.

  • Magic Kingdom/Multiple Parks: $29
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $21
  • EPCOT: $26
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $18

So how is this a sign that crowds are dwindling in Disney World? Genie+ is subject to surge pricing, meaning that when there’s more demand for the service, the cost goes up. When there’s less demand, the cost goes down. Lower pricing means that Disney is expecting fewer people in the parks. So this is a sign that the Spring Break travel season has started to come to a close.

Animal Kingdom

We expect crowds to continue to decrease in Disney World, at least for the next few days until runDisney’s Springtime Surprise weekend April 18th-21st.  Then there could be another few weeks of lower crowds.

Once kids get out of school and families start taking summer vacations, we could see an uptick in people and an increase in Genie+ prices. This summer, in particular, could be one of Disney World’s busiest: not only is a new attraction, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, opening in Magic Kingdom soon, but another Magic Kingdom attraction, Country Bear Jamboree, is set to reopen this summer after being reimagined.

A new Country Bear Jamboree is coming soon!
