Taylor Swift may have kicked off her tour last year, but the hype is FAR from over.
Disney and Taylor Swift have a lot more crossover than you might think! Swift is slated to write and direct a Disney movie, Disney Springs held parties themed around the musician, and we even saw special snacks when the Eras Tour movie was released in theaters. Now the film is available to stream on Disney+ and it’s making waves!
On March 14th, 2024 at precisely 6PM PST, the Taylor Swift Eras Tour movie debuted on Disney+, Disney’s streaming service! Now, Disney reported that the film has already made Disney+ HISTORY.
Disney announced that the Eras Tour movie had a record-breaking 4.6 million views on Disney+ in three days. This makes it the #1 music film EVER on the streaming service. WOW! Fans watched 16.2 million hours total of the 3.5-hour concert film.
Although many Swifties were excited to watch the film, Disney had another surprise on the homepage of Disney+. That’s right — the Disney movies were sorted into ERAS. Whether you are or aren’t a Taylor Swift fan, you have to admit that was pretty iconic.
The movie has also changed from theaters to Disney+ — now there are four additional acoustic songs included in this film including “Maroon”, “Death by a Thousand Cuts”, “You Are in Love”, and ‘I Can See You”.
