This is especially a great event for those who are not quite up for runDisney events (which require a lot of…well…running) but have no problem walking. Did you know there’s an event where you can walk through Disneyland…for charity? It’s called CHOC Walk in the Park, and it’s happening soon!

Disneyland just announced that the annual 5K CHOC Walk in the Park will return this summer for its 32nd year. However, for the first time ever, the walk will take place in July — on July 21st, specifically. The date was moved to the summer to allow more families to participate.

The walk benefits CHOC, the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, which is a healthcare organization that serves children and their families in Southern California.

This event involves a walk across both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure and is part of a unique experience that supports children’s health and well-being. Proceeds raised by walkers will help support healthcare, education, and research at CHOC and its Mission Hospitals.

“CHOC Walk in the Park is an extraordinary event that unites thousands of people from all over the world to help advance pediatric care, research, and education. Disneyland Resort and its cast members work tirelessly to ensure participants enjoy a memorable and magical experience. I look forward to seeing everyone on July 21, when together we will take steps to keep children happy and healthy,” said CHOC president and CEO Kimberly Chavalas Cripe.

If you’re looking to participate, you can register now on the Official CHOC Walk in the Park website. There is a registration fee of $10, and each walker ages three and up must raise at least $125 to participate, with a deadline of July 19th–20th for fundraising. Those who can’t reach the minimum fundraising can bring funds or pay the remaining balance when they check-in for the event.

Note that if you want to visit Disneyland after the event, you’ll either need to have a ticket for the parks or have raised $350. You’ll also need to make a park pass reservation. All participants will be given free parking in a designated location at Disneyland.

  1. I took part in the CHOC WALK four years in a row, (used to live in Anaheim ) before moving to Florida.
I wish they had a WALK here like in CA.
