How Epic Universe Is Already CHANGING Universal's Other Theme Parks

If you’re anything like us, chances are you simply cannot wait for Epic Universe to officially open at Universal Orlando in 2025. The new park will be full of thrills and excitement, but what if you can’t wait?! Luckily, you can visit Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure now and we have an update on an area that’s getting a bit of a refresh!

Sure, we’re excited about Epic Universe too, but we can’t help but love our old favorite, Islands of Adventure (IOA). If you’re looking for thrills, IOA is definitely the park for you. From Jurassic Park to Harry Potter and more, there’s a reason this park is called Islands of Adventure.

Over in the Marvel Super Hero Island area of the park, we noticed a bit of concrete updates and construction work being done.

We spoke with an Islands of Adventure team member who told us that Universal is hoping to have them all completed before Epic Universe opens. The hope is that this area, which opened in 1999, will look a bit “newer” and more refreshed in time for the Epic Universe opening.

But, this begs the question: Will there be any further updates throughout Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios to make the parks look refreshed? We’re not sure, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for updates!
