UPDATE: Universal Orlando’s NEW Land Is Starting to Take Shape

Universal Orlando has SO much going on right now.

Not only is Epic Universe in progress, which is a whole new park, but the two existing parks are also going through lots of changes and refurbishments. One of these changes is a new land coming to Universal, so let’s check out how it’s coming along!

This new land is inspired by DreamWorks, and will feature attractions and designs inspired by Kung Fu Panda, Trolls, and Shrek.

Recently, we stopped by Universal Orlando to check in on the construction progress, and it really does look like (what we’re assuming to be Shrek’s swamp) is starting to come to life!

Back in 2023, we noticed a BIG clue about this expansion. The job openings gave us a hint about what is coming with this expansion — we’re thinking a stage show may be coming soon.

We also recently spotted some Trolls meeting guests in front of the construction!

This is a fun way to remind people about what’s coming and get them excited about the new land. We’re certainly READY for something new — anyone else?

The new DreamWorks land will be opening at Universal Studios in 2024. While Universal hasn’t released an exact timeline yet, we’re keeping our eyes out for updates! This land is expected to be a fun, family-friendly addition to the park, bringing some popular DreamWorks characters to life.
