Wait. You Can’t Use the New Starbucks Cup Rule at Disney World?!

OK, we get it…this news may sound a bit jarring, but we really need to work on lowering our Starbucks expectations in Disney World.

Thousands of Starbucks lovers (including us) flock to the Disney World parks every year, and of course, we have to stop for a quick Starbucks fix on vacation. However, if you’re looking to take advantage of some of the latest Starbucks offers, well, we’re here to share a word of caution.

Ask any of us here, and we’re happy to tell you that we’re *mildly* obsessed with Starbucks mugs, coffees, and fruity drinks. That means we’re often on the lookout for special deals that could save you money (ya know, to use for more Starbucks trips in the future!).

Starbucks in Magic Kingdom

Starbucks recently announced a new promotion where you can bring any clean, refillable personal cup to their locations, and they will fill it up with your beverage of choice. However, we’ve got to tell you not all Starbucks will honor this new rule in Disney World.

If you’re looking to take advantage of this promotional deal, make sure you’re aware of where it will work (and where it won’t). The Starbucks locations in Disney World currently do NOT participate in this offer.

But note that the Starbucks locations in Disney Springs DO allow you to bring in those reusable cups!

We recently tried this process for ourselves and had no problem placing a mobile order.

And look! We also received the personal cup discount on our order! That’s $0.10 we got BACK just for using a reusable cup.

Not all hope is lost if you visit a Starbucks in the parks, though. While you can’t mobile order or redeem the discount, paying for your order through the app will still earn you stars that you can redeem outside the parks. At least there’s a bit of a silver lining here.
