ALERT! One Animal Kingdom Ride Is Temporarily CLOSING Tomorrow in Disney World

Disney has some BIG plans for Animal Kingdom!

Although it’s not set to happen for years, Disney is planning to replace DinoLand USA with something brand new. So far Encanto and Indiana Jones lands have been teased. Disney also announced that a new Zootopia show is coming to the Tree of Life Theater. But if you want to know what is going to impact your 2024 visits to Animal Kingdom, you’ve come to the right place.

We wanted to remind you that Kali River Rapids, the raft ride in the Asia area of the park, will be closed for refurbishment as of January 8th, 2024. 

It’s common for water rides to close around this time of year so this was expected. Kali River Rapids won’t be gone for long, though — the ride is set to reopen in mid-March. Hopefully, it will be back up and running before the Florida heat starts creeping back in!

Remember — Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is also closing on January 8th, 2024. However, this closure is much longer as it is not expected to reopen until summer 2024.

Two pools are also closed for refurbishment starting this month — Fuentes del Morro Pool at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and the Doubloon Lagoon at Disney’s Port Orleans — French Quarter.
