NEWS: Disney Channel Cancels One of Its Longest-Running Shows

With so many movies being released in theaters each year and an endless supply of shows and films on streaming services like Disney+, it would take lifetimes to watch everything! If you’re trying to decide what’s next on your watchlist, we’ve got a recommendation.

Disney Channel has announced that it’s canceling its longest-running live-action TV series. According to DeadlineBunk’d will end its run with the conclusion of its seventh season.

The final 10 episodes of the show will premiere sometime in 2024. Production was delayed on the show earlier this year due to the WGA strike. The first part of season 7 premiered in July, with the series reaching the milestone of 150 episodes in September.

“With a fantastic cast of characters and hilarious and heartful storylines, it’s no wonder Bunk’d has been one of Disney Channel’s longest-running and successful live-action series,” Ayo Davis, President, Disney Branded Television, said in a statement to Deadline. “We’d like to thank our talented cast, creative team, and crew for bringing tremendous joy and laughter to kids for seven incredible seasons.”

Bunk’d started out as a spinoff of the hit Disney Channel series, Jessie, in 2015. Since then, the cast of the show has changed significantly.
